SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Director is primarily responsible for the development
and management of program areas for Konbit Sante in Haiti. Advises, assists and represents the
Executive Director on a wide range of management, programmatic and operational issues affecting the
organization, its Haitian partners and staff and volunteers.
Fonctions
MAJOR DUTIES:
Program Development and Management
Collaborate with staff, health sector partners, and volunteers to design, implement, monitor and
evaluate clinical and management projects for Konbit Sante. Examples of project areas of interest
include maternal and child health, infection control, inventory management and budgeting. Specific
activities may include:
• Researching project areas, e.g. best practices in child nutrition
• Developing work plans
• Data collection and analysis
• Assisting with quality improvement initiatives
• Assisting with assessments of Konbit Sante programs and health care services in Haiti
• Working with Haitian colleagues to develop accurate descriptions of services and conditions
• Collaborating with the Ministry of Health and other NGOs to develop and implement projects
• Providing supervision of activities and support to volunteer teams
Grant Management/Resource Development
• Works with the Executive Director to identify new potential areas of funding
• Work on grant proposal development and programming consistent with mission and goals of Konbit
Sante
• Responsible for management of grant reporting and other requirements, including monitoring
deadlines, report submission and ensuring that the ED is kept informed
• Works with the ED and Program Manager on reports for USAID and other funders
• As necessary, work with Board members, ED and volunteers to present project activities to donors
• Identifies opportunities for partnering with other NGOs on projects that fit the Konbit Sante mission
• Participate in national and international conferences and meetings, representing the mission, values
and objectives of Konbit Sante as necessary
Qualifications Requises
Preferred Qualifications
• MPH, MSPH, or equivalent or clinical degree with program management experience
• Five years relevant experience
• Experience with writing successful grant and contract proposals
• Experience with writing detailed implementation plans
• International work experience
• Knowledge and familiarity with USAID funding rules and regulations
• Fluency in French or Haitian Creole, and English is required
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently when necessary
• Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates good organizational and coordination skills
• Articulates a mission-oriented philosophy
• Is comfortable working with diverse individuals and organizations
• Flexible about time requirements (i.e. able to attend some evening meetings)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Konbit Sante Program Director: Konbit Sante is a non-profit organization partnering with both public and private health facilities in the Greater Cap-Haitien area of northern Haiti, with the goal of helping them strengthen and improve their systems and services to better serve the community. We are seeking a Program Director for our Cap-Haitien office. The successful candidate will be a key part of Konbit Sante’s management team, providing day-to-day oversight, monitoring, and leadership of our program work, as well as contributing to the longer-term development and implementation of program strategy.
