As a member of the program BEST, the MUSO Program Officer is responsible for the following:
• Execute the project implementation plan designed by the Program Manager
• Support the recruitment and training of the Technical Supervisor as well as the Community Mobilizers
• Elaborate work plans, supervise directly and monitor the 2 partners’ Technical Supervisors
• Insure the respect of SILC methodology by the Community Mobilizers and MUSO groups, Technical supervisor as well as the project implementation timeframe
• Provide technical support to the partners’ Technical Supervisor with the SILC methodology or project implementation
• Provide support developing the partnership with our local implementing partners and improve their capacity in project implementation
• Assist the partner’s Technical Supervisor in the training and implementation of Community Mobilizers and MUSO groups
• Organize and insure the quality of the monthly data collection
• Enter data in the Savix and Iformbuilder froms weekly
• Compile all weekly and monthly reports for West, North and South and Provide reporting to Program Manager as well as correction action plan
• On a monthly basis, implement action plan and recommendations from the Program Manager
• Act as program Manager in absence of the PM BEST
• Prepare and process PRFs for the Program BEST as needed
List of Outputs/Deliverables:
• MUSO is implemented in the targeted area with targeted beneficiaries in a timely manner and respect the SILC methodology standards
• MUSO Plus training sessions and monitoring in the community
• Monthly work plans and reporting submitted
• Data are entered in the Savix and Iformbuilder on a weekly basis
CRS Agency-wide Competencies
These are rooted in the mission, values, and guiding principles of CRS and used by each staff member to fulfill his or her responsibilities and achieve the desired results.
• Minimum 3 years in the NGO sector with 2 years of successful and proven experience in SILC or similar methodology including MIS and tool development.
• Fluent in Creole and French (English is a plus)
• Demonstrated skills in activities implementation in a timely manner
• Demonstrated experience of reporting and team management
• Demonstrated experience working with local partners
• Excellent interpersonal and animation skills both with the team and the community
• Excellent organizational and computer skills, including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with, and demonstrated ability in, training of community facilitators
• Be flexible to work outside normal working hours (before 8: 00 Am or after 4: 00 Pm including weekends)
