Introduction

Copenhagen Consensus Center is an international think tank. We commission economic research from the world’s top economists on the costs and benefits of pursuing different policy options. We focus on solutions to major problems in the developing and developed world, and the need to prioritize solutions based on economic research. The results are communicated in media throughout the world. For this the Center’s leader Dr. Lomborg was named one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Time Magazine, and repeatedly named Global Top 100 Thinker by Foreign Policy. Please review our website www.copenhagenconsensus.com for more information.

This particular project, Haiti Priorities, takes the Center’s cost benefit methodology to the country level for maximum impact. In the role of Project Manager, we need the candidate to be intelligent, ambitious and have a passion for economics and smart policy solutions. A high level of motivation and excellent communication skills are required to manage a Copenhagen Consensus project. All major domestic and international stakeholders will be engaged to include the highest levels of the government of Haiti, the top international donors (Canada, the US, the EU, the World Bank, IDB, etc), the top private sector companies, civil society and the general populace. The project manager will have oversight to coordinate 30+ of the world's top economists, several Nobel Laureates, top media representatives and other high ranking people. Flexibility to work on multiple work streams, a natural aptitude for organization, and deadline-driven deliverable creation are equally important in this fast-paced environment, as is the ability to handle the workload and stress implicit in projects with fixed deadlines. Please review our project in Bangladesh www.bangladesh-priorities.com to get a basic understanding of a similar project.
