Job Summary
The Sr. Community MCH, Family Planning, and HIV/AIDS Coordinator will provide technical leadership and direction, in particular at community level, to the SSQH (Service de Santé de Qualité) project across the North of Haiti (Nord, Nord-Est, Nord-Ouest, Artibonite).
JOB RESPONSABILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS
- Provide technical assistance to support the SSQH-Nord activities to maintain and increase utilization of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) essential package of services at the community level and to implement the continuum of care support model, with support from TA, working within the project consortium;
- Provide technical expertise to connect community activities to facility-based services at the primary care level with support from TA, working within the project consortium. Note that all technical assistance must be provided in close collaboration with MSPP authorities and within the overall project implementation framework;
- Oversight of project implementation (for SC SOW, attached);
- Develop and update program work plan, seeking input from TA and SC Deputy Program Director as necessary;
- Assist in the assessment of training needs and in the design and implementation of appropriate measures to address those needs;
- Coordinate with the project staff ( other consortium members) the implementation of the activities according to the work plan;
- Conduct regular field visits in collaboration with staff and community;
- Mentor and supervise project staff and other team members as may be needed;
- Share with program and technical staff experiences, lessons learned and challenges;
- Supervise the community mobilizer, community protection coordinator;
- Delivery of M&E reports to the URC/COP;
- Prepared and delivery quarterly and annual report to URC / COP;
- Provide monthly activities report;
- Undertake minor administrative tasks related to daily work;
- Act as security focal point for SC in Cap Haitian;
- Other relevant duties as assigned by the COP or SC Deputy Program Director.
Qualifications Requises
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
Master Degree in Health, preferable Medical Doctor;
Medical doctor with 7 years of experiences on Maternal and Child Health programs at the
community level;
A minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting or implementing projects;
A minimum of two years’ experience implementing health programs within district, facility
and community settings;
Demonstrated experience in capacity building, supervision, teaching and mentoring;
Experience of leadership in USAID funded health projects, in particular contracts;
Computer literacy in the following: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Fluency in English and Creole is required, fluency in French is also desired;
