Good Neighbors opened its field office for Haiti in July 2010, in response to the earthquake that devastated Haiti, in January of that year. We rapidly launched emergency relief aid after earthquake and served as a channel between donors and earthquake affected community people, furthermore involved in rebuild communities from the effects of the quake. Good Neighbors accomplished successful fruition through various projects; distribution relief items, providing medical service and tents for earthquake victims, construction shelters for displaced people and building public school.
In order to implement its programs, GNH is currently looking for an School Monitoring and Operation Department Staff for the Haiti Head Office. The main purpose of the job is to take charge of the handover process between Good Neighbors and the Ministry of National Education, editing the MoU, collaborating with the Ministry in finding solutions for all conflicts and communicating with board staff in the field. The position carries a challenging role requiring special talents with high devotion and communication, excellent analysis skills.
Fonctions
• Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare all concept papers, letters, statements of interest linked with the handover process;
-Handling all official documents, reports and other linking with the process;
- In collaboration with them Ministry deputies, communicate with the field staff about the transition;
-Managing inventory process in the school and listing all materials to fix, remove or to add;
-Preparing contract for staff funding by Good Neighbors;
-Make sure that payment check is delivering on time monthly to staffs funding by GNH;
- Purchase all necessary materials before the handover process gets close;
-Supervising recruitment of new qualified teachers in collaboration with the school principal;
-Ensure all contents of MoU are fully satisfied by both partners;
- All necessary activity reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports.
- Develop communication channel for community development program;
- Disseminating the sharing and learning’s of best practices with stakeholders.
- The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized and confident.
-Achieve all tasks requiring by the supervisor
- Support all kind of office work. (Skillful at multi-tasking)
Qualifications Requises
• Skills and experience required are:
- Bachelor degree in social sciences (Human Development, Social Welfare, Economics) with more than 3 years professional working experiences in local or international NGO, especially in education administration;
- Experience in working with or working for government so knows process of working with Ministry well;
- Strong understanding and experience of the Haiti social, economic and legal system
- Proven project and financial management skills
- High level and compelling communication skills in English (preferential).
- Full computer literate (MS word, Excel, Power point)
-Excellent typing speed (over than 25 word per minute)
-Good capacity to solve conflict and preferably to prevent conflict;
- Ability to travel nationally when required and make occasional overnight stays if necessary.
-Ability to focus on detail;

Conditions de travail
• Salary Offered: HTG 12,200 – 18,900 (Monthly) depending on experience and job performance.
• Working time in Good Neighbors Is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
