Introduction

Good Neighbors International is a humanitarian non-governmental organization, whose mission is to improve the lives of others—especially those of children—through education, community development, health services, sanitation, and disaster relief projects.
Good Neighbors International started in Seoul, South Korea in 1991 with the sole purpose of giving disadvantaged children a glimmer of hope. Currently, 2,447 professional staff and 20,622 volunteers—ranging from doctors and nurses to engineers and professors--work in 30 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including 10 million children. We fundraise and network with other organizations through offices in the USA, Korea, Japan, and Switzerland.
Good Neighbors opened its field office for Haiti in Jan 2010, in response to the earthquake that devastated the neighboring country of Haiti. The office served as a channel for the organization to contribute to and assist with the international community’s efforts to help rebuild the country a recover from the effects of the quake. Good Neighbors decided to establish community development projects in the Haiti that would provide opportunities for Haitian communities to empower themselves and build social capital and in turn start a process of sustainable development.
Good Neighbors Haiti is an organization that works to make the world a better place of peace and harmony where none suffers from hunger and extreme poverty, where nobody dies of preventable diseases and where everyone feels at home, respected without prejudice or discrimination.


Fonctions

In order to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals, the organization commits an administrative assistant, in close collaboration with finance officer, whose work will focus on:
1 -Updating and filing administrative records and documenting all the administration in tidily;
2 - Make a regular and periodic inventory of property and equipment of the organization and make it available to any internal or external audit;
3 - Keep in the maintenance sheet for gas (diesel and gasoline) of generator, cars and other expenses related to the material date;
4 - Operate all technical activities necessary for preparation of service contracts or purchase of goods or services to long term;
5 - Prepare request for materials, goods or services for the office or programs;
6 - Monitor petty cash by making or issuing cash for small purchases and bills justification are in good and due form ;
7 - Ensure the renewal of stocks of materials necessary for the administration and maintenance of the office;
8 - Keep petty cash and submit a regular report to the finance officer;
9 - Assist other staffs in their spots each time that is required;
10 - In case of emergency (natural disaster, emergency response activities, etc.) give full support to the team and work overtime and even on weekends;
11 - Ready to work in another department when needed or requested by the Supervisor;
12 - Perform any other duties required by his immediate supervisor, Department Manager, General manager and Country (managing) Director.
13. Prepare ceremony for the office and support visitors to Good Neighbors Haiti office


Qualifications Requises

Skills and knowledge
1 – Majored in management, accounting with a known school
2-Good level of writing and speaking English
3- Capable to submit good quality of report in English
4-Knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel and other accounting program
5-Good capacity for negotiate prices, specifications and setting contract;
6-Having high typing speed (more than 40 wpm; word per minute)
7-Having a driving license; (be able to drive manual and automatic cars)
8-Having good experience about logistics and accounting in other humanitarian organizations.


Conditions de travail

*The GNH recruiting process is starting when the candidates send resume. In the second step, GNH will send to interesting ones the GNH Excel form to fill out with full attention in English and send back with a copy of diploma and certificates. This form is a part of the evaluation process. Only best candidates will be scheduled for interview. The range of salary for this position: 15000 ~ 17500 Haitian Gourdes per month.
