The purpose of this job is to facilitate community meetings in order to create WASH committees in the Market and in each street of Croix-des-Bouquets district as outlined in the project proposal. The job holder will have to work closely with the market administrative unit, the market committee and the youth associations from the each block of the city.

1. Make an assessment of the number of committees that exist in the market and within the city.
2. Develop strategy to strengthen these committees and make them operational.
3. Ensure that there is on one sanitation committee operational in each street of the city and 2 sanitation committees in the market.
4. Develop good relationship with youths in each block in order to ensure the suitability of the street committees.
5. Support the Street committee to organize one or two days cleaning event in the city.
6. Support the municipality in developing waste management strategy for the city;
7. Ensure that the seats are equally distributed after the rehabilitation of the market
8. Any other duties assigned by the WASH Coordinator.

• A degree in sociology or an equivalent of 2 years working with multi-disciplinary International INGOs
• Experience in working in rural areas and working with youths.
• Strong experience in managing and conflict management people.
• Familiar with the Croix-des-Bouquets community.
