Habitat for Humanity International is currently seeking a talented individual to serve as Logistics Assistant (Haiti). The position of Logistics Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall work in Haiti by helping manage the movement, scheduling and arrival of resources in and out of the warehouses to field sites throughout Haiti. The Logistics Assistant reports to the Manager of Operations and is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

*Coordinate transportation (quoting, contracting and supervision) around delivery of materials for shelter solutions to sites throughout Haiti
*Ensure proper documentation of all deliveries and materials movement
*Assist with the establishment and running of warehousing facilities in various locations needed for shelter solutions
*Assist when needed with importing of necessary materials for programmatic activities
*Working in close collaboration with the procurement team, communicate the sourcing (quotes, purchasing and receiving deliveries) of materials for shelter solutions
*Make recommendations to the operations department leadership on the production of materials for shelter solutions and help implement those solutions
*Assist with other related projects as needed.

*Two-year university degree
*2+ years experience in logistics coordination; experience with construction materials preferred
*Experience working in an international organization; experience with Habitat for Humanity preferred
*Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English
*Excellent attention to detail skills and strong organizational skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Demonstrated expertise working with excel and specialized accounting software
*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
*Travel up to 30% to project sites.
