Introduction

Under the supervision of the Chief of Party (COP) and/or Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), the incumbent will carry out the following duties for PROJUSTICE:


Fonctions

- Provide high-level technical assistance to High Judicial Council/Conseil Supérieur du Pouvoir Judiciaire (CSJP); Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJPS); Ecole de la Magistrature (EMA); and Working Groups/Commissions (involving Government of Haiti, Parliament, Judiciary and/or Civil Society) on Code Reform and/or Judicial Reform.

- Implement DPK PACT process related to judicial reform in the Target Jurisdictions (particularly with Deans of Court and Chief Prosecutors) in cooperation with the target jurisdiction managers, component managers, coordinators and team leaders working in Target Jurisdictions who will collectively follow up with the process.

- Support activities related to reducing bottlenecks, illegal or prolonged pretrial detention and improving justice service delivery and case management efficiency in cooperation with the target jurisdiction managers, component managers, coordinators and team leaders working in Target Jurisdictions who will collectively follow up with the activities.

- Support institutional and fund-raising capacity building of civil society and bar associations in Target Jurisdictions related to legal assistance in cooperation with the target jurisdiction managers, component managers, coordinators and team leaders working in Target Jurisdictions who will collectively follow up with the process.

- Attend cross-institutional working groups and/ or donor working groups that support judicial reform, as requested by COP and/or DCOP.
- Collaborate with the Public Information Officer and support the M&E Specialist in gathering data for performance monitoring reports.

- Draft weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, as well as thematic reports and requested by the COP and/or DCOP.

- Perform any other related activities as requested by COP and/or DCOP.


Qualifications Requises

Qualifications/Required Skills

- Law degree.
- Fluency in English, French, and Creole.
- Good writing skills.
- Fifteen to twenty years of relevant work experience.
- Exceptionally organized and proven ability to keep multi-phased projects/activities on track and on-budget.
- Self-starter and independent, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with culturally and geographically diverse staff.
- Technology-literate – PC skills, MS Word, Excel, Internet.
- Ability to travel to in-country field offices to conduct and supervise project activities.
