Dans son plan stratégique 2010-2014 suite au tremblement de terre du 12 janvier 2010, Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe après avoir analysé l’impact des risques et des catastrophes naturelles sur la pauvreté en Haïti notamment dans le Département du Sud-Est a fait de ce secteur la colonne vertébrale de son intervention dans le pays. Dans le cadre de son plan stratégique, DKH entend apporter une solution intégrée et durable pour les populations affectées par le tremblement de terre en prenant en considération l’état de vulnérabilité préexistant et les priorités émergeantes.

• Facilitate organization and mobilization of the community to participate towards quality project implementation
• Provide technical assistance to the partners on management and implementation of the project;
• Develop and maintain good relationship with the partners and relevant communities;
• Provide inputs to training activities on partners capacity building;
• Monitor program implementation and prepare reports in timely manner; including documentation of lessons learnt;
• Represent DKH with forum or meetings related to DRR and other gatherings as requested by the Program Coordinator.
• Contribute technically to courses, seminars, experts meetings, field missions, working groups relevant to various technical themes covered by the Disaster Risk Management
• Contribute to program/project development activities

1. Management/Project cycle management/ Disaster Risk management graduate or at least 5 years equivalent work experience in community development with NGOs in areas of community organizing, mobilization and facilitation
2. Good experience in networking and collaboration with government and non-government organizations
3. Experience in community-based DRR activities an advantage
4. Able to write and communicate in English
5. Computer literate (MS word, powerpoint and excel)
6. Can work independently and as a team player
7. With patience and good moral character
