Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking multiple Resident Advisors - Engineers, Architects and Urban Planners - to support a key initiative related to the Haiti earthquake response. Habitat for Humanity's Emergency Capacity Assistance Program (ECAP) is funded by USAID. The program assists the national government, municipalities, community leadership and partner organizations to develop key capacities related to shelter and settlements issues. Habitat for Humanity is currently seeking Resident Advisors with the following 4 skillsets for assignments of up to 10 months in duration:

• Civil Engineers

• Structural Engineers

• Architects

• Urban Planners

These Engineers, Architects and Urban Planners will work with municipal and national authorities througout Haiti and concentrate on supporting resettlement and new settlements under development, with a focus on the areas of Croix des Bouquets and in the north between Cap Haïtien and Quanaminthe. This position will require significant travel to and from various areas within rural Haiti.


Qualifications Requises

• Konpetans pwofesyonèl nan swa Fwansè ou kreyòl (maîtrise pwefere)
• Forte pale ak ekri Angle (maîtrise pwefere)
• En an degre nan vil Planification, "Engineering", Achitekti, kominote devlòpman, ou lòt zòn pertinentes (mèt la pwefere)
• Omwen 3 ans de eksperyans ki gen rapò kalifikasyon teknik yo
• Pwofesyonèl pwemye eksperyans nan yon peyi devlope ki pwefere fortement
• Ansyen devlopman entènasyonal eksperyans pwefere

• Professional competency in either French or Creole (fluency preferred)
• Strong spoken and written English (fluency preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Community Development, or other relevant area (Master's preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience related to technical qualifications
• Previous professional experience in a developing country strongly preferred
• Previous international development experience preferred
