Introduction

The Caribbean Grain Company (CGC) is a large, multicultural company founded in 2009. It operates in the agribusiness sector and specializes in the import and distribution of rice. It is one of the largest conglomerates in Haiti’s private sector. It is currently seeking a Security Manager to join its team.


Fonctions

Function:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Security Manager will not only supervise the Security Department personnel and ensure the protection of staff, but also the protection of all landed property and removable assets. He will patrol the entire perimeter of the company’s sites identifying all access points and investigating suspicious activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the security of the Company commodities importation at the Haitian Port (A.P.N.); assist the receiving, unloading and dispatching of commodities from the Port (A.P.N.) to the client’s warehouse and/or companies storing facilities;
• Ensure the safety of all international and local vessel loading and unloading at the wharf. Monitoring the roundtrips of the trailers carrying the bulk wheat or rice, flour from the port to operations facilities, etc.;
• Ensure the security of all private residences assets of the companies;
• Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary;
• Evacuation & Hurricane drills. Security lock downs backup plan for operations site, employees and security agents of the site.
• Ensure the security backup of all dispatching of merchandise to client’s warehouse;
• Ensure the full safety of private and beach residences. Monitoring of his bodyguards and travels within the city. Support to the Board members if required.
• Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. Physical protection responsibilities will include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and more. Information protection responsibilities will include network security architecture and monitoring policies, employee education and awareness, and more.
• Development and implementation of information of security procedures.
• Ensure that all information and security systems are functional and secure.
• Training and supervision of the security agents; Manage and Ensure the protection and safety of convoys from operations site to client warehouses and companies warehouse. Ensure secure deliveries of containers from maritime to our operations site or warehouses.
• Responsible for the gathering of external security information and evolution of insecurities in a daily basis.
• Daily monitoring of overall security risks and planning preventions.
• Manage the drivers and bodyguards of all expats going to work and entering their home. Establish a daily clearance secure access of all staff going to APN and exiting from APN.

• Provide security reports of each incidents occurred and every month provide a security report.
• Monitor the camera & GPS surveillance system daily and ensure that it’s functioning properly;
• And any other tasks required by upper management.


Qualifications Requises

Qualifications
● Minimum 5 years of experience in the field in similar and/or relevant context.
● BA/BS or equivalent in criminal justice or other relevant field.
● Excellent oral and written English or French required;
● Proficiency with MS Office software required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
● Certified to deliver first aid training to a basic standard.
● Certified to deliver advanced tactical driving instruction.
● Can provide training on conflict awareness and survival.
● Supports team members through capacity building.
● Drives impact by building high performing teams.
● Broadens influence by role-modelling/leveraging networks.
Essential Job Functions and Physical Demands:
1. Ability to work under pressure, perform multiple tasks and manage consistently competing priorities, comfortable in rapidly changing environment. Must be flexible and able to improvise to handle a variety of situations.
2. Ability to effectively mentor and train individuals and teams using participatory methodologies. Strong facilitation skills preferred.
3. Ability to work with delicate personnel situations and to maintain confidentiality.
4. Ability to maintain close relationships and work with team members from a distance and with limited opportunity for personal interaction.
5. Constant face-to-face, electronic and telephone communication with colleagues at different levels of the organization and the general public.
6. Ability to prepare documents and other materials in a well-designed and attractive format, with attention to detail.
7. Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours.
