Licensed Social Worker

Requirements, Skills & Abilities:

• Jesus Christ must be Lord and Savior and be your priority
• Walk intimately with God, spending daily personal time in prayer and study of the Bible
• Character and integrity – personal relationships must be above reproach
• Written and spoken literacy in Kreyol, French and English with discipline specific vocabulary
• Computer literacy with email, spreadsheet, document software and typing
• Must have Social Work license and degree from an institution recognized by IBESR
• Ability to maintain all documentation/files related to orphanage operation and authorization,
reintegration, reunification, alternative family placements and/or family support plans.
• Ability to collect and analyze data for effective monitoring and evaluation

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety of all children and follow Child Protection Plan
• Liaison between Chanje Movement/Chanje Lakay and IBESR
• Open, update and maintain individual children’s files per IBESR requirements
• Ensure all programs, actions, files and services maintain compliance with IBESR regulations
• Create template and timeline to manage and prioritize all case files towards family reintegration
• Conduct and support Home Studies, Individual Child/Family Plans, Family Support Plans, and
Reintegration Plan
• Attend training and continuing education classes provided by Chanje Movement and their partners
• Facilitate weekly support meetings with current caregiver and staff
• Identify, support and/or address social, emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual, economic and
educational needs of the families and children
• Coordinate psychological support for children with Chanje Lakay Staff Psychologist
• Conduct post-placement support visits for reunified or newly placed children
• Complete monthly project progress reports
• Bimonthly communication with Communications Director for Chanje Movement

Reporting Relationships will be defined for the hired applicant.

Social Worker reports to President of Chanje Movement and has close working relationships with:

Director of Chanje Lakay
Staff Psychologist of Chanje Lakay
Vice President of Chanje Movement
Communications Director of Chanje Movement

Working Conditions:

• Live in overall community of the vicinity of Chanje Lakay, Fort Liberté, Haiti
• Work 48 hours per week, 6 days per week (typically 8 hours per day, Monday – Saturday)
