The Institut pour la Santé la Population et le Développement (ISPD) is a non-profit organization working primarily in the health sector in Haiti providing technical support to the Ministry of Health through the National AIDS Control Program (PNLS) and the Department of Family Health (DSF) to improve the quality of services provided to the Haitian population including HIV care and maternal health services, and the prevention and management of childhood illness.

ISPD is currently looking for qualified candidates for an accountant position at Klinik Eritaj - Ouest. Under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager, the incumbent will administer all financial aspects of Klinik Eritaj.

• Manage financial aspects of the clinic including bookkeeping, bank accounts and cash flow;
• Ensure proper coding and recording of financial transactions into the accounting system while reviewing completeness of documentation in all financial processes to ensure accuracy and quality;
• Maintain sub-grant financial records and coordinate with the program department to reconcile financial records with sub-grants awarded;
• Monitor financial compliance of sub-grantees and bring any potential non-compliance issues to the attention of the Finance and program leads;
• Cash management, providing cash flow forecasts while monitoring cash balances and preparation of bank reconciliations;
• Preparation and management of the payroll;
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual grant and management financial reports;
• Participate in ongoing analysis, forecasting and review of Klinik Eritaj expenses and appraise the project manager on key issues for action;
• Ensure timely and quality financial reporting of the clinic activities;
• Ensure compliance to the tax and legal requirements;
• Coordinate and participate in Klinik Eritaj Internal and External Audits;
• Assist with other functions as may be requested by the Finance Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
• At least five (5) years of financial administration experience, preferably with international organizations and/or Non-Governmental Organizations which are multi funded;
• Proficiency in using accounting software notably Sage 300 (Accpac);
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PPT and other relevant software;
• Strong report writing skills;
• Understanding of budget and cost control management essentials;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels;
• Ability to work under pressure and efficiently handle multiple tasks;
• Ability to work under own initiative or as a part of a team;
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in French and English working knowledge.
