LIVING WATER INTERNATIONAL - HAITI, a Christian organization specializing in the field of WASH, demonstrates God's love by helping vulnerable communities to have drinking water, and especially through evangelism, seeks a Water Program Area (WPA) Coordinator for drilling activities and rehabilitation of wells.

JOB PURPOSE
The Program Coordinator will coordinate and develop LWI water and sanitation community development program in the defined work areas within north of Haiti, according the strategic objectives of LWI. The coordinator undertakes planning and implementation of sustainable activities around water access as well as Hygiene and sanitation promotion to ensure continued benefits of Wash before, during and after the projects. Also he/she will be responsible for the proper management of the Living Water office in the north.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Promote LWI mission and values and the achievement of the organizational and technical skills for the personal under his supervision
2. Ensure that the Global standards and all of the Quality standards of LWI are accomplished
3. Be responsible for the daily coordination of the program team activities and the local office in the North
4. Manage all aspects of the water, sanitation and hygiene education program in accordance with the agreed project contract and amendments
5. Coordinate with the Trip Host to prepare for LWT participants with information about the communities they are about to engage.
6. Accompany donor representatives and other official visitors on field visits and provide them with the information they require regarding the program, as requested.
7. Ensure good community preparedness before drilling, rehabilitating, maintaining water point
8. Lead the visits, to the projects under implementation or finished, of LWI-Houston/LACRO staff, donors and anyone else who has been delegated
9. Ensure network and coordinate with local churches/church leaders, local stakeholders/leaders to promote church mobilization and Gospel Proclamation, hygiene and sanitation practices, and community mobilization processes.
10. Ensure that Living Water Trip members have a great learning, social, and sharing experience during their trip
11. Promote safety and security of LWI equipment – set-up and regular maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and other Living Water assets.

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
1.Education/Credential
University level degree in one of the following disciplines: management, social science, hydrogeology, and other related science
Five (5) years of experience in community development work

2. Experience/Qualifications
• Knowledge of rural Haitian communities
• Experience in the WASH sector (a Plus)
• Experience in the nonprofit and humanitarian world
• Good knowledge and proven experiences in community mobilization
• Business, financial organization and basic accounting / math skills
• Oral / written Communication and Presentation skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Computer skills: Windows and office management
• Ability to work in public-private partnership
• Fluency in French and Creole, with reading and writing English skills(Spanish a plus)
• Current Driver’s License / Ability to travel (a plus)
• Ability to transfer knowledge to his/her staffs.
