Introduction

The US Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti is seeking individuals for the position of Program Assistant of Position in the Narcotic Affairs Section.


Fonctions

Basic Function of Position: Incumbent handles the Merida Initiative project and assists with other NAS program activities


Qualifications réquises

Note: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Degree in business or Program related field from an accredited University is required.
Must have at least 3 years of Management or Program experience
2. Level IV (fluent) English/French/Creole proficiency required, Level III (Good working knowledge) Spanish required.
3. Good Working knowledge of host government, the country of Haiti, general etiquette and social position and rank of the host country authorities.
4. Must have a high level knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook programs
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills

Additional Selection Criteria
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining full candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current employees US EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
