PROGRAM COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

The Program Communication manager is responsible for the efficient communication of program impact in the lives of children in poverty to sponsors and donors in order to engage them in child development and advocacy.
The Program Communication Manager reports to the Country Director and is a member of the Country Management Team (CMT). This position supervises the Sponsor/Donor Services, Tours & Visits, and Field Communications functions.

1. Mature Christian person, based on evangelical Christian values; has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty. Passionate about the cause of children in poverty.
2. University degree in a communications-related field (public relations, advertising, marketing, etc.). Minimum of five years of management experience in a communications-related field. Experience building teams, coaching and developing people.
3. Excellent communicator, both oral and written. Fluent command of the English language as well as language native to home country.
4. Ability to lead change and inspire team to develop new and challenging skill sets. Experience building and developing networks of outside contractors and vendors to assist with workload demands.
5. Demonstrated cross-cultural experience and adaptability. In-depth understanding of Partner Country audiences, with ability to adapt in-country to multicultural environments.
6. Understands the sponsor/donor mindset—what moves them to deeper understanding of poverty and deeper commitment to advocacy and action on behalf of poor children.
