The Engineering Assistant will support the contract construction of water, sanitation, shelter, infrastructure and/or other facilities constructed by CRS in Haiti. This is an entry level position

Job Responsibility:
1. Assist with engineering design and project planning
2. Assist with project planning including field investigation, estimating, and procurement among other activities
3. Field verify field compliance with design specifications and/or CRS requirements
4. Assist with site supervision of construction and related activities activities
5. Assist with land surveying and transfer of field survey data into AutoCAD
6. Create design drawings on AutoCAD.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent.
2. English is an advantage
3. Basic drafting skills are an advantage
4. Currently based in Port-au-Prince or nearby community
5. Special consideration given to recent university graduates from accredited engineering universities in Haiti.

Physical Requirements/Environment:
1. Physically fit without restrictions from spending long periods of time at project sites in all weather and temperatures.
