Produce success stories with corresponding photographs monthly; working in close collaboration with relevant program team. Identify good stories and photograph materials. Produce minimum of one 30-second video produced each month established with support from department heads Grant and Communication Manager. Participate and take photographs at key events every month. Support GOAL management with a workshop, training on photography, interviewing, story writing. Support with production of other communication materials – provide technical advice and support on development of brochures, banners, website and social media platforms. Assist in the development of reports, support in press releases and responses to media inquiries.

In this role, I was responsible for coordinating Habitat’s media efforts in Haiti and raising visibility of Habitat’s disaster response activities in alignment with the overall communications strategy. Also provided communications support to Habitat subject matter experts, including interview scheduling, talking points and follow-up. In addition, I assisted in drafting and translating testimonials and beneficiary stories for inclusion in media productions, donor reports was also the key communications liaison between Habitat’s office in Haiti and its regional office in Costa Rica and international headquarters in the United States. I interfaced with local and international program partners and donors and participated as o- Official translator (beneficiaries, local journalist, Spanish speaking journalists, and press conference announcer/host) for former US President, Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn during the Carter Work Project (CWP) in Leogane Haiti.
