Introduction

Food security and nutrition programme in South East, Haiti (Belle-Anse arrondissement)


Fonctions

Coordinate and implement all plans and strategies defined in cooperation with the different units.
Define with staff and partners clear operational plan related to the project
Participate in all coordination meetings and liaise with local actors.
Promote the inclusion of multi-faceted themes such as gender and HIV-Aids into the programme
Ensure compliance of Oxfam/Echo procedures in all aspects of the programme
Lead the projects team while involving its members in the decision-making process
Advocate actively on programme-related matters through persona' networking and/or alliance building with existing partners and diverse sectors. Support all fund-raising efforts. Produce clear and high quality reports (financial and narrative), which will demonstrate his/her high level of responsibility.

PROJECT MANAGERS SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve project's goals and project outputs, through planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising implementation of activities; elaborating all reports, as well as establishing the work plan
Define with staff and partners clear operational plan for the project
Accompany and assist staff in the planning, implementation and follow-up of the activities of the different project components
Ensure the participation of local actors' in the project and strengthen the capacities of the communities by building a true partnership with ail the key stakeholders.
Participate in recruitment to complete staff
Lead and supervise the team working under his/her direction while developing professional mechanisms to follow-up on staff performance.
Provide technical support and for specific assistance in own area of expertise .
Coordinate the relationships between the staff members and ensure smooth running of his/her team; manage any dispute which may arise.
Elaborate and put in place all adequate measures which will guarantee team members' security.
Provide team proper guidance in relation to Oxfam values and core strategies
Ensure compliance of all Oxfam & ECHO procedures
Elaborate contracts for the procurement of services and external interventions submitting them to OGB’s Country Director or other designed person for signature.
Consolidate all budgets and reports presented before submission to the relevant bodies


Qualifications réquises

Experience in managing Food Security and Nutrition projects. Experience in managing water, sanitation and hygiene-related humanitarian project is an asset.
Project Cycle Management

Administrative and financial management,

Experience in team leading

Demonstrated engagement in promoting gender equity and equal opportunity in all work­-related aspects.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in both French and English. Creole an asset.
Flexibility and availability to travel in country
