Introduction

Non-Profit Organization is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer for a private sector development project.




Fonctions

Reporting to the chief of party, the chief operating officer (C00) is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of services and programs. The COO will lead three regional coordinators. He will review on an ongoing basis milestones and results on the field and develop new programs as needs emerge. He will be responsible for all activities pertaining to budgeting and action plans. With a direct staff of four (grants manager, SME specialist, M&E officer and operations manager), the COO will manage the following functions:



- Prepare quarterly progress reports

- Assist local partners in developing their action plans

- Oversee adequacy between regional budgets and action plans

- Work with the operations manager and oversee all financial and action planning activities

- Oversee the implementation of the project at through the regional coordination

- Ensure that the regional coordinator function is properly resourced

- Facilitate the recruitment and provide orientation to new team members - Facilitate conflict resolution and effective communication with regional partners

- Facilitate communication across the regional coordinators and with the PAP team

- Provide guidance and leadership through management of the metrics and measurement reporting process

- Oversee the implementation of the performance monitoring plan

- Monitor progress on the field in regards to milestones and deliverables - Edit and finalize reports or deliverables from the regional coordination - Facilitate the design and oversee the deployment of master work plans - Collaborate with Program Officer in the elaboration of consultants'

scope of work

- In tandem with COP, supervise tourism, handicraft and agriculture coordinators

- Oversee the application of the grants manual and follow through on grants targets

- Support and advise the COP in decision-making

- Perform other duties as assigned by COP


Qualifications réquises

At least 10 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of five years of senior-leadership experience supervising seasoned staff operating multiple projects across a broad geography.

Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, engaging. community partners, and partnering with private sector entities.

General Management — thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing.

Solid educational background — MBA or similar advanced degree highly desired
