Fonctions

- Work closely with local authorities and other state entities
- Coordinate at PU level all psycho-social and GBV activities and interventions in the area of child protection under the supervision of the Child Protection Project Manager
- Ensure the development of work plans and the timeliness and quality of implementation, in line with the grant and PU activities and the project budget
- Contribute to the implementation of Plan’s Child Protection policy in the field
- Support the PU staff and partners in carrying out the diverse activities related to Child Protection in Emergencies (including mainstreaming)
- Coordinate the implementation of child protection committees
- Ensure appropriate follow up for any case of children identified or reported as being in need of Protection (Abuse, Neglect, Violence and Exploitation), or un-accompanied and separated
- Ensure the identification of children who lost legal documents and take appropriate actions for follow up
- Support and conduct capacity building activities for children/youth and care-givers, partners, staff, volunteers and others on child protection
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation visits regularly to all field sites, identify problems at hand and propose solutions
- Ensure that the required assessments of basic protection issues and of capacity of local community protection mechanisms are conducted,
- Ensure good coordination with other partners operating in the same geographical or thematic areas
- Participate in PU level cluster meetings on child protection, psycho-social and GBV issues, ensuring that Plan’s work and interests are well represented in these meetings
- Ensure that appropriate data collection is done at PU level and that reporting channels are utilized appropriately ensuring the timely submission
- Ensure the adequate communication of Protection work to the communities, our partners and the PU
- Participate in consultations with community members - adults and children - and make sure that the information contributes to programs decision making.


Qualifications réquises

• University degree in : Human Science or any relevant field
• Excellent skills in project management
• At least 2 years of working experience with children and youth
• Good knowledge on child rights and the CRC
• Good facilitating skills
• Team work spirit
• Ability to work independently
• Fluency in french and creole. English a plus
• Good knowledge on : Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
