Introduction

The Field Officer will work in both urban camps and neighborhoods to assist families to move from life in camps back to their communities of origin. The Field Officer will provide support to CRS Camp Liaisons working in a variety of camps in Port-au-Prince. He/she will contribute to implementation of the CRS community and resettlement program, working closely with affected families, camp committees, partner agencies and other stakeholders.


Fonctions

1. Responsible for implementing field activities;
2. Working directly with IDP families to identify where they can return to;
3. Conduct registrations and documentation collection activities in the field;
4. Identifying of vulnerable families;
5. Submits weekly reports on field activities;
6. Regularly visits beneficiaries, provides feedback, reports problems, and proposes possible solutions;
7. Participates in field missions;
8. Assists in the monitoring of expenditures and budget for interventions;
9. Immediately reports security incidents in camps or neighborhoods to his/her supervisor;
10. Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications réquises

1. Minimum of two years of field experience in development;
2. Minimum of one year of field experience in camps;
3. Diploma in human sciences or education;
4. Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet)
5. Fluency (oral and written) in Creole and French
6. Team spirit, collegial attitude;
7. Capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
8. Capacity to collaborate with various types of peoples;
9. Capacity to resolve conflicts and intervene in unstable situations
10. Capacity to select the most needy beneficiaries in a dynamic environment
