Introduction

The FFW Project Manager manages technical oversight of Organization’s improved Food for Work activities from programming, monitoring, and reporting in the SYAP He works in close collaboration with the Other Technical Assistants, Field Director of Les Cayes and MYAP Coordinator to ensure achievement of the goals and objectives of the FFW component of the SYAP.


Fonctions

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with Food for Work program team sub grant proposal submissions for appropriateness and applicability.
2. Advise group on the technical feasibility of FFW project proposal submissions.
3. Work with the Technical Assistants to assure proper attention to Environmental Impact Mitigations is addressed in the design of all projects.
4. Visit all implementation sites for sub grant activities as needed to assure progress, correct and timely reporting and program compliance.
5. Work in close cooperation with the Program Manager and the Technical Assistants to assure a broad follow though of all program activities.
6. Attend coordination meetings on FFW Program with USAID and others organizations carrying out activities (meeting monthly and on an ad hoc basis based upon need).
7. Assess sub grant proposal submissions within the scope of the SYAP objectives
8. Represent Organization in the Food for Work project selection committee composed of appropriate technical staff from Organization, USAID, and various government ministries.
9. Work with sub grant recipients to ensure that their projects are well executed, feasible, and community driven.
10. Ensure proper sub-grantee project management including sound project design, budget development, financial and progress reporting, and monitoring and evaluation systems.
11. Ensure sub-grantees receive necessary training in finance, commodity management, and DME for efficient, compliant, and standardized project management and reporting.
12. Work with sub grant recipients to ensure that their reports are submitted to CRS in the proper format and in a timely fashion.
13. Collaborate with the Internal Audit unit to respond to and complete all audit requirements and recommendations.
14. Ensure compliance with Reg. 216 requirements and mitigation of environmental impact.






KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: FFW Coordinator, MYAP Coordinator, Finance Manager, Vehicle Fleet Manager, Material Resources Manager, Field Office Director, FFW Logisticians, Technical Assistants in agriculture, water, etc.

External: USAID Mission Ag/Environmental Officers, other SYAP CS, local partners, local and ministry-level GOH officials.


Qualifications réquises

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Management or related field.
2. Minimum two to three years working in the field engineering
3. Excellent oral and writing capacity in French and Creole and strong spoken English required; and report and proposal writing experience a plus.
4. Excellent facilitation, communication and animation skills for community level partners and beneficiaries;
5. Demonstrate self-motivation, team playing and leadership skills
6. Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills.
7. Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with international and local organizations, partners and ministries,
8. Ability to guide a team, effectively promoting the Agency’s mission and objectives.
9. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines..
10. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an orientation to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
11. Willingness to travel to the field 75 % of the scheduled working time on a monthly basis.
12. Computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet, etc.
