Fonctions

Grant Management:
The Contracts and Grants Manager is responsible for all sub agreement competitive and non-competitive sub agreement issuance work. A high level of interaction with partners, technical, programmatic and financial departments internal to FHI is part of the daily work of this position.
1. Collaborate with the Corporate Contracts Administrator on draft C&G documents, and provides general communications to the field on such matters.
2. Interpret and apply funding regulations to ensure that all FHI policies and procedures and federal procurement and contracting requirements are met for subagreement and subcontracting activities.
3. Coordinate the development of and implements procedures for projects to ensure that adequate records and audit trails are maintained.
4. Develop and implements procedures to ensure that operational documents projects are processed expediently, monitored appropriately and executed in a timely manner.
5. Determine the manner in which specific projects can be developed and presented to expedite approval, implementation and successful completion according to donor requirements.
6. Prepare cost proposals in response to RFA’s, RFP’s and unsolicited proposals for new funding opportunities, as needed.


Qualifications réquises

Education/Experience:
BS/BA in Business Administration, Social Science, or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience with at least 3 years of management experience;
or MS/MA/MBA with 5 - 7 years relevant experience with at least 3 years of management experience.
Fluency in English, French and Creole
Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
Proven research and policy development skills and/or experience.
Ability to assertively tackle issues and handle these from start to finish.
Service oriented
Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people from different walks of life.

The post earthquake environment requires a high level of availability under regular stressful circumstances. Managing priorities and frequent short turn around deadlines requires a dynamic personality with a short learning curve and has a proven record of finishing assigned tasks with a low level of supervision and delivering on high expectations. The position does not supervise those responsible for submissions or reviews. Therefore, the applicant must show proof of highly developed people skills.
