Peace Dividend Trust fosters and implements innovations in peace and humanitarian operations. We are a non-profit foundation dedicated to making aid missions more efficient, effective and equitable, delivering a stronger peace and a larger peace dividend.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop a communications strategy/marketing plan that increases visibility of Peace Dividend Trust and the Haiti Marketplace project to two key stakeholder groups: international buyers and local vendors.
• Manage advertising, “Buy Local” promotional campaign, and events such as vendor fairs and conferences.
• Develop innovative ways to promote local procurement through social media.
• Oversee corporate messaging, including talking points, written materials, success stories.
• Supervise the marketing assistant and the research analyst
• Represent PDT among the international buyer community, and at other key events as required.
• Provide regular updates and produce marketing reports including budget forecast.
• Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Country Director.

Qualifications
• French as first language, fluent in English and willingness to learn basic Creole is required.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in marketing and/or communication.
• Degree in marketing, communication or social science. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
• Demonstrable experience in organization large scale events such as conferences and trade fairs.
• Experience in marketing proven ability in use of social media.
• Experience in report writing.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as well as networking skills.
• Private sector experience and understanding of the international agencies structure are assets.
• Personal skills: autonomy, initiative, team member and creative mindset are important.
