Introduction

Holt International carries out child welfare and family strengthening programs, as well as international adoption services in Haiti. Managed by U.S. and in-country staff, these programs are carried out in close cooperation with partner agencies that include, childcare institutions and other child service providers, foreign government agencies, funding agencies, and other stakeholders. The aim of the program is to continuously evaluate opportunities to expand or deepen programming services in Haiti.

TO THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR : Reporting and Sponsorship Officers

DUTIES

The Holt Haiti’s Program Coordinator is required to perform the following duties:

Monitoring the Women Empowerment Program

(a) Monitor through the Reporting and Sponsorship Officer and the Income Generating Activities Consultant, 1) the social and economic progress of the women enrolled in the Women Empowerment Program and 2) the general health and education progress of the children in the household headed by the women direct beneficiaries of the IGA program.

(b) Address in a timely manner any issues observed or reported by field staff

Monitoring the Orphan Care and Education Program, the Primary Education Program and the Child Sponsorship program

(a) Quarterly visits to the crèches enrolled in the Orphan Care and Education Program to observe the progress of the children and encourage timely sponsorship reporting.


(b) Quarterly visits to schools enrolled in the Primary Education Program to observe the progress of the children and encourage timely sponsorship reporting.


(c) Monthly phone calls to partners or as frequently as needed to closely monitor the progress of the programs


(d) Oversee the Reporting Officer in the data collecting process and the report uploading process for the children enrolled in the Child Sponsorship Program


(e) Provide training to Holt new partners on Child Sponsorship Reporting, Orphan Education Program and Primary Education Program guidelines.


(f) Ensure that monthly fund requests are timely made for partners’ grants in Orphan Care and Education Programs.

Monitoring the Health and Nutrition Program


(a) Monitor through the Reporting and Sponsorship Officers the progresses of the children enrolled in the Health and Nutrition Program.


(b) Maintain constant communication with the caterers and the partners benefiting from this program in order to monitor the appropriate quantity and quality of the food delivered in the sites.


(c) Ensure that request for funds are timely made and payments delivered to the caterers.


(d) Address in a timely manner any issues observed or reported by field staff
(e) Oversee the Reporting Officer in the data collecting process and the report uploading process for the children enrolled in the Health and Nutrition Program.


(f) Coordinate the Medical Screening Activities through visits of the sites and constant communication with the providers of medical services and report immediately any concerns.


(g) Provide training to Holt new partners on Health and Nutrition Program guidelines


(h) Provide training on the data uploading process on Holt HQ Health and Nutrition website to the medical teams contracted yearly for the Medical Screening services.








Reporting on Program Activities


(a) Provide a monthly activity progress report (narrative and statistical) on all programs implemented by Holt Haiti


(b) Contribute to the preparation of the Quarterly Narrative and Statistical Reports and review the final reports for statistical accuracy.





Other Duties


(a) Participate as frequently as possible in activities implemented by Holt partners in Haiti.


(b) Complete a total of 15 hours per year of Holt International training requirements


(c) Other duties as may arise from time and as may be assigned to the employee.


Qualifications réquises

Degree in Social Work or related field; a minimum of three years experience working in social services settings; experience working with children and women a plus;
Spoken and written fluency in English is a must.
