Introduction

The Chemonics M&E/GIS Specialist will support the program development and implementation teams of the HRI team in Port-au-Prince. S/he will be responsible for determining activity indicators and targets during program design. After activity completion, the M&E/GIS specialist will conduct surveys and analysis to determine numbers of beneficiaries and assess the impact of project outputs. In addition, s/he will be responsible for taking GPS coordinates of all activity sites and generating maps of HRI intervention areas. The M&E/GIS specialist will report to the Deputy Chief of Party.


Fonctions

The principal tasks to be completed under this SOW are as follows:

• Collaborate with the Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Cash-for-Work Manager, and Project Development Specialists to select and incorporate the most appropriate GIS-based solutions into project activities and administration;
• Work with the Information Officer to update and ensure the accuracy of GPS data in the OTI Activity Database/Jobs Database;


Qualifications réquises

1. University degree required.
2. Two years of progressively responsible monitoring and evaluation work experience.
3. Experience with a USAID- or donor-funded projects preferred.
4. Knowledge and experience working with GIS as an M&E reporting tool.
5. Experience using mobile GPS units and experience using ArcMap, GoogleEarth, and other GIS software to plot activity intervention areas.
6. Advanced skills in word processing and MS Excel required. Experience with SPSS preferred.
7. English proficiency strongly preferred.
