Introduction
ICAP at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health has received funding from the United States Government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to implement the Targeted Programmatic Support Award (PSA) across Haiti to achieve epidemic control of HIV and TB in four selected regions in Haiti (North, Northeast, West and South) during this performance period. ICAP’s proposed activities focus on facility-and community-based interventions to strengthen targeted HIV testing, including partner and index case-based testing; retention in care; same-day antiretroviral therapy (ART) and viral load (VL) suppression among people living with HIV (PLHIV). Thus ICAP will support clinical teams to provide same-day antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation (“test and start”), with robust referral networks to ensure that PLHIV can access needed services through partner community-based service providers.
