Water.org hereby solicits offers from bidders to complete rehabilitation and maintenance works for the Ennery Water System. Bids can be submitted either English or French to at the Northwater office 179 Rue Faubert Petionville, no later than 28 August 2018 at 2:00 local time. All bids will be publicly open at 2pm. The awarding of the contract will be by price comparison according to the procedures of Water.org and the engineering consultant, Northwater International. The offer shall include the following materials:

1. Legal documents of the company or proprietor
2. Four past projects with description, location, start/completion dates, contract amount, client, and client contact person.
3. Two professional references
4. Completed bidding forms
5. Project understanding
6. Project completion schedule

Description of Work:

Spring Captage
Rehabilitate the spring captage that supplies the Ennery water system.
Base Bid: Construct new concrete wall, infiltration gallery, and collection chamber. Install new piping.
Alternative A: Construct a smaller concrete wall closer to the existing captage, infiltration gallery and collection chamber. Install new piping.

Sand Filter
Alternative B: Install bypass pipe and valves at existing filter so that it can be backwashed properly.

Break Pressure Tank
Base Bid: Install a bypass so the water does not enter break pressure tank #5.

Alternative C: Install bypass piping, demolish the existing tank, and construct a new tank.

Distribution Valves
Base Bid: Replace eight (9) gate valves with square nut operator valves in the distribution network. Also install new steel valve boxes for each.
• 2 x steel valve box on existing valve
• 4 x 2-inch valves and steel valve boxes
• 2 x 3-inch valves and steel valve boxes
• 2 x 4-inch valve and steel valve box
• 1 x 2-inch valve and concrete valve box

Completion of the Work:

Work must be completed by 27 November 2018, however, the spring captage rehabilitation item may be subject to postponement depending on wet season conditions.
A one-year performance guarantee is required.

Required Qualifications:

The bidder must have experience as a general contractor in the complete performance of at least three water supply projects during the last five years.
