Introduction

CRS/HAITI is looking for a dynamic Compensation and Benefit Assistant for its office based in Les Cayes. This person will assist the Cayes Human Ressources Officer in maintaining the integrity of the CRS/HT personnel policy in accordance with CRS standards and established Haitian Labor Cod.


Fonctions

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

To Assist the Cayes Human Resources Officer in maintaining the integrity of the CRS/HT personnel policy in accordance with CRS standards and established Haitian Labor Code and in addressing important personnel management issues: (contracting, compensation and benefits issues).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review and become familiar with the CRS\Haiti personnel policy and the Haitian Labor Code; Ensure compliance of the CRS\Haiti Personnel Policy with Haitian Labor Laws; Ensure integrity in the correct application of CRS/Haiti internal regulations and procedures;
2. Be informed on the evolution on the Labor law and general HR practice and back up the Supervisor in ensuring updating of procedures, personnel manual when needed;
3. Coordinate with the Pap HRCBO for the preparation of all recruitment contract;
4. Keep an excellent communication with the Law Firm and Bank;
5. Minimize legal risk by ensuring accurate calculation of staff legal severance and any other benefits he is entitled upon departure and send information to finance;
6. Confirm staff gives back material to Supervisor by receiving discharge and send copy to Finance before payment;
7. Liaise with Ex-employee to ensure payment of severance to CRS when applicable;
8. Ensure staff will not pursue legally CRS by giving discharge to CRS and confirming reception of last payment as final and definitive;
9. Assist supervisor in promoting a good work atmosphere among staff;
10. Perform any other task necessary to the smooth functioning of the department as directed by supervisor.






Qualifications réquises

• Associate Degree in Business Administration;
• 3 years experience in Personnel Management;
• Experience in personnel development;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French;
• Computer Literate in Word processing (Microsoft), spreadsheets, databases software;
• Good communication skills;
• Good personality;
• High level of Confidentiality;
• Organizational, planning, analytical, and problems solving skills;
• Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision;
