The purpose of the Job will be to ensure that sound financial practices are observed within the GRANTS in line with WV HAITI Financial Policies and Procedures. To provide financial and other financially related administrative support to the project accounting staff in order to ensure streamlined accountability and efficiency in other financial related activities.

•University graduate with a strong accounting background.
•Must have accounting and finance experience of not less than 4 years in a reputable organization.
•Good communication and language skills
•Good management skills – resources and personnel
•Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office software and computer assisted auditing techniques.

BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BELOW:

• Project staff capacity building: Build capacity of the project staff to enable them understand and interpret the Financial Manual and all its relevant accounting specifications
• Financial reporting : Review the GRANTS’ financial transactions on monthly to ascertain the accuracy of the project financial reports
• Budgeting and budgetary control: Co-ordinate the budgeting process for GRANTS
• Assets custody: Ensure that WV HAITI assets within the project are secure and in good working condition
• Procurement of supplies: In liaison with the Procurement Officer and Project Coordinator, ensure that items are procured in time according to grant timeframes and according to WV and donor regulations.
