Fonctions

• Regular fund requests to the Country Office (CO)
• Monthly Program Unit (PU) expenditure analysis (grants and sponsorship)
• Regular cash forecasts
• Annual PU budget & closing process
• Regular Partner visits for financial support
• Support in all accounting transactions and processes and ensure these are in line with Plan polices and procedures to ensure transparency and value for money.
• Verify disbursement of all payments to partner organisations, consultants, suppliers, and communities and ensure that they conform to Plan policies, guidelines and local law.
• Bank reconciliations are prepared regularly on a monthly basis.
• Ensure completion in all respects of the documentation being sent to CO (vouchers, reports, accruals, payables etc).
• Prepare various financial reports (partner, contractors, consultants etc) reports on a monthly basis
• Conduct due diligence assessment and financial review current and proposed partners as and when needed.
• Ensure follow-up and action on recommendations of finance audit reports.
• Provide technical support to Plan staff, partners and communities regarding Plan Haiti financial procedures
updated at all times
• Timely financial information as and when required
• Sound analytical judgement
• Ensure transparency in all financial processes


Qualifications réquises

• Demonstrate adherence to Plan’s corporate focus, rules, regulations, and computer guidelines.
• Capacity to produce financial information/budgets and good quality documents and deliver projects to agreed parameters.
• Timely follow up on reports and recommendations, particularly audits and evaluations.
• Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and deadlines in achieving results
• Ability to plan and organise work by identifying priority activities and adjusting priorities as required
• Ability to apply good judgement in the resolution of account related problems
• Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to keep abreast of new developments in accounts and finance.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility within a team.
• Demonstrate approach to work that is characterised by commitment, motivation, energy and flexibility.
• Demonstrate value for money in all decisions and practices.
• Commitment to Plan’s mission and vision including the value for the rights and needs of children.
• Sound knowledge, understanding, and practical application of financial tools toward facilitating the finance department.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and sustain partnerships and good working relations
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills with special attention to Excel.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• University Degree (Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance is required, preferably in a development organisation.
