UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is a USA based international development agency that provides long-term technical assistance to developing countries. After the January 2010 earthquake, UMCOR intends to help rebuild Haiti focusing its activities in Tabarre, Croix des Bouquets and Port-au-Price in the program sectors of water and sanitation, shelter and livelihoods. UMCOR – Haiti proposes to implement a three year integrated program that targets short-term emergency interventions across its core sectors with a view to transitioning to longer-term sustainable development programs. UMCOR – Haiti works in coordination with national and international agencies based on ongoing needs assessment in consultations with the communities.
UMCOR- Haiti is currently seeking a national Logistics Manager (LM). she/he will be based at UMCOR Haiti’s Port au Prince office.
The Logistics Manager (LM) will be required to work 40 hours per week, with flexible of working hours during the week. The Logistics Manager (LM) will implement UMCOR’s short and long term Operations program in selected field areas of Haiti under guidance of the Operations Coordinator (OC).

Essential fonctions:
• Logistic Manager will report directly to the Operations Coordinator.
• Extensive capacity for stock movement planning and supervision
• Monthly reporting
• Responsible for maintaining logistics filing system • General reports to the supervisor, on a weekly basis
• Overseeing daily and weekly plans for vehicles with logistics assistant
• Closely working with administration and security staff on related matters
• Establish and maintain a schedule of preventive maintenance for all vehicles to be followed. Include checking water, fuel, oil, brake fluid, battery, radiator, and tires rotate tires on regular basis.
• Track goods received and delivered by item, cost, and area of distribution, beneficiaries, and donors.
• Management of warehouse, store and facilities with system
• Possible travel within Sudan for setting up offices, delivering items, etc...

Qualifications required
 University degree of Logistics Management or/and related relevant field
 5 to 8 years of working with NGOs or other non-profit agencies
 5 years of experience minimum of work in managing logistics including at 3 years as supervisor  Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and other software application
 Capacities of reading, writing and to speak usually Creol, French (preferably a good knowledge of English  Abble to work in a team

 Able to identify the priorities in work
