Fonctions

JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Livelihoods Deputy Manager is to support the Livelihoods Manager in managing the program in Port-au-Prince. The Deputy will assist the livelihoods Manager in all aspects of the program, including the implementation of activities; writing proposals and reports to donors; supervising staff; monitoring budgets; offering technical support; designing Monitoring and Evaluations tools; training and 'capacity building 'of staff. He / She will work under the direct supervision of the Livelihoods Project Manager and in close collaboration with local authorities and partner organizations and other stakeholders present in its area of intervention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support to the SC staff and partners in terms of planning, implementation, and management of food security activities and means of existence.
• Write-reports of high quality for SC and donors, following the schedule of reporting.
• Contribute to the development and strategic direction of the Livelihoods Programme: Ensuring a coherent strategy and identify areas of intervention, ensure that the activities are implemented in line with the strategy, and that monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out regularly.
• Ensure that the Livelihoods strategy is shared with communities and other stakeholder.
• Provide technical support to staff (micro-finance, management of small and medium enterprises, revolving loans, M & E, database, etc.) and ensure that staff understand the objectives and strategy of the Livelihoods Sector.
• Participate in inter-agency meetings and represent the position and strategy of SC, when required.
• In coordination with the Livelihoods Manager, communicate regularly with the "technical advisor" at the Country Office (to ensure that "lessons learned " powerful contribution to the global work of SC).


Qualifications réquises

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
1. Hold a University degree in economics or other social sciences, with emphasis on Business Development.
2. Have at least 7 years experience managing projects focusing on local economic development.
3. Have at least 3 years experience in the management of income-generating activities in an urban context: micro-credit; revolving loans; small and medium enterprises; business development; mobile banking and youth.
4. Have strong knowledge of donor projects: Indications, results, project cycle, etc.
5. Have experience in writing reports and proposals.
6. Excellent communications skills, both writing and verbally: in English and French.
