Fonctions

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading, managing and maintaining delivery of quality child protection programs in the field, ensuring strict compliance with donor requirements and Save the Children’s child protection strategy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Translate Save the children CP strategic direction into day-to-day activities as it relates to the particular field office.
• Develop monthly workplans and directly oversee child protection and child rights governance projects.
• Ensure effective integration of crosscutting issues into all SC’s CP work (e.g. gender, rights-based approached, SEA/GBV prevention).
• Undertake regular field visits of SC supported projects lead by local partners, including children and youth groups.
• input and assistance in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection
• Maintain documentation of all project activity information and tools developed.
• Produce accurate and timely program narrative reports per donor requirements.
• Maintain effective and smooth communications with CO technical child protection advisor and key SC colleagues including finance, grant managers and other SC sectors as required
• Manage Field office child protection program budgets.
• Coordinate with M&E Specialist to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of programs.


Qualifications réquises

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
• BA/BS or equivalent in a field related to child protection, social work, psychology, child development, international development, education, sociology, anthropology, or public health.
• At least 5 years international experience.
• Understanding of children’s rights and of Child Rights programming.
• Experience in project Management, proposal development mentoring and training skills.
• Finance/Budgeting Knowledge.
• Computer skills including Microsoft, Word, Excel and Power point.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Good written and spoken French and English and Creole.
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
