Introduction
This position will involve overseeing the technical aspects of all projects being undertaken by IFRC and will report directly to the Shelter Coordinator. In addition to the technical aspects you will also be responsible for collating reports from all project managers and preparing a weekly report for the Shelter coordinator to review. You will have logistics staff member that will report directly to you and you will be responsible to ensure that the shelter team is updated on a weekly basis as to how much stock we have available, how many shelters have been delivered and how many have been constructed.
In addition to these tasks you will also be there to support the Shelter coordinator in his general duties including attending meetings, keeping informed of shelter progress and any other activity that is required by your line manager.
Fonctions
Work under direct supervision for the shelter coordinator
Correlate all reports from all shelter delegates on a weekly basis and provide a situation report for the shelter coordinator to review
Ensure all reports from the logistics focal point are presented accurately on a weekly basis, that includes all current stock level, shelters delivered and constructed
Provide translation services for the shelter coordinator
Visit all sites on a regular basis and provide technical feedback to the shelter coordinator in regards to quality of build, delivery of materials, identification of problems onsite etc
Fill in as a project manager for delegates that are on leave or as required
Be responsible for ensuring technical drawings are completed for the shelter coordinator and to his satisfaction.
Oversee the development of tender documents including drawings, specifications both technical and general, ready for procurement to place order

EXPERIENCE
Experience in Red Cross or other NGO
Experience in construction.
Experience in management

Excellent MS office skills
Excellent AutoCAD skills

LANGUAGES
Proficient in French and English: written and spoken
