Fonctions

• To conduct acceptance tests on the installation of equipment on all towers and structures
• To achieve and ensure that installations are done in accordance with engineering specifications and agreed standards
• To perform TX expansions, Antenna Installation, Antenna/Link alignments, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance in all telecom equipments installed in tower structures.
• To assist the Network Operations and Network Development groups to ensure the effective maintenance of all structure installations contributing to the network availability standards
1. Conduct acceptance tests for grounding, antenna alignment and antenna installation according to specifications and standards
2. Install and de-install Out Door Units and change antennae
3. Change feeder cables and assist in the realignment of microwave dishes.
4. Correct tower light problems
5. Install filters to prevent interference

Qualifications réquises

• Certification and training in tower climbing and rigging

• At least 5 years experience in climbing towers; experience in cellular tower communication would be an asset

• Proficient in reading and interpreting tower installation drawings

• Certification/Diploma in telecommunications or at least 3 GCE O’Levels including English Language and Physics/Mathematics

• Ability to climb structures up to a height 70m
• Understanding of the telecommunication business
• Able to work in a team in a challenging environment
• Flexible and willing to accept and adapt to constant changes
• Good interpersonal skills
