Introduction

The Logistics Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Logistics Manager and actively participate in planning and organizing office logistics ensuring they are at optimal efficiency levels. PSI logistical activities include vehicle fleet management, warehouse management, distribution, and customs clearance.

The Coordinator will directly supervise all drivers and warehouse staff and liaise with all departments and staff as necessary. The Coordinator will also assess staff performance and assist the Logistics Manager to build capacity in the logistic department.


Fonctions

Transport Specific Duties:

• Monitor and control generator and vehicle fueling, spare parts consumption, and service scheduling
• Ensure that vehicles and generators are running at optimal capacity
• Ensure the driver team and vehicle fleet is adequate
• Oversee in house maintenance of vehicles
• Manage the GPS Fleet Tracking Software (Car Track)
• Preview generator and vehicle logs
• Coordinate with all departments to draft and socialize monthly and weekly vehicle schedules
• Provide reports as mileage, incident, vehicle log, staff evaluations, maintenance, asset list, and other reports as necessary
• Coordinate with procurement and program staff to plan vehicle rentals
• Ensure that daily and weekly vehicle checks are performed and that regular servicing is completed
• Assess driver performance

Warehouse Specific Duties:
• Ensure of effective warehousing and stock control systems
• Oversee the commodity supply chain cycle
• Assist in budget development and spending plans relating to logistics expenditure and operational costs.
• Manage imports by liaising with brokers, government, and suppliers as necessary
• Receive and inspect inventory and ensure items match procurement and requestor specifications
• Prepare and or review disposition forms
• Perform monthly physical inspection warehouse inventory
• Ensure documentation is prepared promptly and distributed correctly. This includes bin cards, stock cards, stock requests, stock receipts, stock reports, physical count reports, transport forms and reports.


Qualifications réquises





• At least 3 years of responsible experience in the logistics field



• Inventory control and vehicle fleet supervision experience



• Experience supervising drivers and warehouse staff



• Knowledge of Haitian customs clearance processes



• Technical skills in a number of the following areas a plus: mechanics, radio communications, staff management, supply chain management, procurement, vehicle fleet management



• A problem solver that is able to manage stress and troubleshoot problems



• Resourceful with proven ability pro actively take on responsibilities



• Good communication skills including ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, and updates.
