Haven is a development foundation (NGO) founded in 2009 and dedicated to promoting sustainable housing development, building communities and providing vocational training for the communities in Haiti. We are currently working on a number of projects including the construction of transitional shelters, latrines and Hygiene promotion

• Carry out land surveys of shelter sites in the various camps that Haven operate in
• Monitor and supervise the work of contractors including engineers, masons, carpenters and plumbers
• Monitor and supervise the work of beneficiary workers
• Assist with the procurement of materials

• Fluent in English, French and Creole, both speaking and writing
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Good AutoCAD skills
• Pro-active and diligent
• Higher education qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
• At least 1 years’ work experience in the construction industry
• Understanding and experience of managing construction projects
• Understanding and experience of engineering design (structural and/or water supply and sanitation)
• Understanding of basic land surveying
• Understanding of procurement, including material selection and tendering

6 days per week. 9am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch break
