Fonctions

MAIN DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• To follow International Feeration standard procurement practices keeping records to full audit trail standard
• To obtain no less than three quotations, prepare a Comparative Bid Analysis and recommendation to purchase, with all information being systematically recorded in Purchase Committee minutes where appropriate
• Further, with appropriate authorisation excute the purchase of appropriate supplies and arrange delivery in a timely and cost effective manner
• To liaise and co-ordinate with the relevant delegations/departments/functions regarding delivery of supplies and keep all parties informed of any changes in a timely manner.
• To identify and maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for regularly purchase items,and keep informed of local market conditions
• Establish and maintain a good professional working relationship with suppliers and inspection companies
• To ensure that all purchased goods are of International Federation standard and fit for the purpose and ahave appropriate inspection certificates as required
• To liase with international,governmental and non-governmental organisations and collaborate where appropriate
• To support, train and develop local staff and national society staff as required
• To produce regular, timely and accurate narrative and financial reports for the International Federation and for donors


Qualifications réquises

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Formal education to secondary level
• Experience of managing and supporting staff
• Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent
• Experience of working for a humanitarian aid organisation in a developing country
• 1-3 years experience in procurement or purchasing
• Experience of working in general logistics
• Experience of working in management or administration
• The candidate must have good computing skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
• Ability to work in a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The candidate must have good proficiency in English
