Meds & Food for Kids is dedicated to meeting the essential nutritional needs of malnourished children, pregnant and nursing women and school children using Ready-to-Use-Therapeutic Foods (RUTFs) produced in our factory in Cap-Haitien, Haiti.

By transferring skills and knowledge to Haitian men and women and engaging farmers to source local raw materials, we break the cycle of poverty and sustainably stimulate economic development.
Meds and Food for Kids Haiti is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Maintenance Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and food safety in the production of Medika Mamba. The Production Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding the organization's commitment to producing safe and effective therapeutic foods for malnourished children in Haiti.

OVERVIEW
The Production Maintenance Manager is responsible for optimizing the maintenance operations of Meds & Food for Kids. The Production Maintenance Manager, together with his team, is responsible for identifying problems and finding solutions and participates in the design of new installations, as well as in their organization. He establishes and evaluates performance tools. He works under the direct supervision of the plant operation manager.


Fonctions

The Production Maintenance Manager must:

• Maintain production machinery and equipment in working order
• Ensure that the system in general is maintained in good working order
• Working with the maintenance supervisor this includes the creation of clear and precise responsibilities individually and by department, so that team members have a clear understanding of what is expected of them so that inter-cooperationfunctional is maximized
• Cross-train maintenance team members across the system to improve self-sufficiency in the future
• Lead the development and maintenance release schedules for all technical aspects of the machinery, facility electromechanical system and adherence to schedules
• Maintain effective relationships with equipment suppliers and vendors
• Ensure all new product introductions are fully coordinated and managed
• Assemble, install, test new equipment, Qualify in conjunction with other departments.
• Ensure the integration of new systems (solar, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) and their maintenance schedule
• Develop Effective Diagnostics tools to correct a system malfunction, equipment.
• Master the basics of PLC and graffiti operation
• Develop maintenance action plan and communicate with maintenance team and production manager
• Master the manufacturing process
• Set up and manage service parts management software, work order, various data collectors.
• Ensure the corrective actions of the various audits

MAJOR PLANT SYSTEMS:
• Food processing system for the production and packaging of peanut-based Therapeutic Ready-to-Use Food (RUTF)
• Agricultural equipment for processing peanuts (for example, shelling, sorting, bleaching, roasting)
• Water purification and septic systems
• Air conditioning and ventilation
• Power generation system: generators, inverters, batteries, solar panels, etc.

EXPECTED RESULTS
• Efficiently maintain the system
• Ensure sustainable preventive maintenance plans are in place for all major plant systems
• Identify cost-effective actions that could result in cost savings for production and operations in general
• Minimize downtime/downtime with rational machine maintenance while ensuring spare parts availability..

OTHER EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES:
• Look for opportunities to reduce expenses but not limited to fuel/diesel and necessary supplies/maintenance materials
• Ensure all orders and tracking are placed through Google Docs
• Collect and monitor ventilation related maintenance and shutdown data.


Qualifications réquises

• Have a degree in Electrical, Electromechanical and other related fields
• Five (5) years of experience in the field of study
• Worked for five (5) years in the Agri-food sector
• Fluent in French and English
• Master computer tools/software (Microsoft World, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Know how to identify problems (human, material, etc.), solve them and implement effective corrective actions in collaboration with other departments.
• Knowledge of Automation
• Knowledge in Hydraulic and Pneumatic
• Knowledge of industrial mechanics
• Knowledge of HVAC

• Integrates problem solving methods and tools
• Meets gas safety standards
• Follows Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) guidelines
• Proficiency in office tools
• Proficient in ERP, Enterprise Resource Planning ERP Enterprise Resource Planning
• Proficient in Computer Aided Group Technology (CADT)
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Design and Drawing (CAD/CAD)


Conditions de travail

Must be available to work on days off, and holidays, and handle emergencies, if required.
