Introduction

CFET (Centre de Formation et d'Encadrement Technique) CFET S.A. is a private company specializing in human resources management and capacity development. Established in Haiti since October 1988, its mission is to improve the performance of the Haitian workforce and create the local skills necessary for a full Haitian appropriation of their own development options.

Over the past two years, CFET has implemented the Health Leadership Program (HLP), in collaboration with Management Science for Health and Growth Group to assist the Ministry of Health in implementing its Health Human Resources Strategy and improving overall public health governance. As part of the extension of this program under the name, Health Leadership/Human Resources Program (HLP/HRH), CFET is looking for a Senior Accountant


Fonctions

Work under the direct supervision of the Finance Officer and in collaboration with the project team.

• Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
• Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
• Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation. Monitor and maintain a new audit system by implementing new policies and procedures in the finance department.
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports that are user-appropriate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as necessary.
• Guide other staff by answering questions and coordinating informational classes.
• Verify and ensure tax compliance, state business registration, contract review, and non-profit tax filing; Involvement in business registration, tax compliance and creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets
• Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
• Play a vital role in the project financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
• Ensure a continuous and up-to-date flow of information between the project and CFET Home Office.


Qualifications réquises

• BS in Accounting
• Five years' experience working with intercompany transactions and reconciliation in preparation for audit


Conditions particulières

• Working knowledge of profit tax filing and tax compliance as it pertains to state and federal level regulations
• Required knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Quicks book, and other applications related to finance and accounting
• Donor reporting experience; preferably with USAID

• Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the project and coordinate training and information sessions
