Fonctions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Haiti and direct supervision of the WASH Program Coordinator, the successful candidate will be accountable for Supporting Project Assistant (Hygiene Promotion) for implementation and management of WASH activities among IDPs and vulnerable host communities in Haiti.
In particular, he/she will be assigned to the following tasks:

a) Assist in the implementation and monitoring of hygiene promotion activities, distribution of hygiene kits, community mobilization, and cash for work (CFW) activities.
b) Carry out hygiene promotion sessions with IDPs and affected communities.
c) Support the distribution of hygiene kits.
d) Facilitate communication between beneficiaries and others WASH teams, reporting any issue from the community.
e) Support in conducting hygiene promotion related assessments including PDM, KAP etc.
f) Perform other related duties as assigned.

Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
• Submission of regular field reports
• Ensure scheduling of planned activities
• Established good relationships with the communities


Qualifications réquises

School diploma in Public Health or a related field with one years of relevant professional experience, or two years of experience in hygiene promotion.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS

• Field experience in hygiene promotion or community engagement.
• Familiarity with the WASH sectors in Haiti
• Good computer literacy (Excel, PPT, Word)
• Good knowledge of French (oral and written)
• Experience working with NGOs/UN agencies is an advantage

LANGUAGES:

IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.

For this position: Fluency in French and Creole (Oral and Written) are required, English as an advantage.
