Fonctions

Role Purpose: The Staff Photographer (SP) will complete photographic/video assignments to produce quality photographs/videos for use in media publication and/or the organization's promotional materials (digital and print), internal communications, or for other purposes. Your photographs/videos should tell stories that will capture the essence of our programming.

Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Programs and Mar/Comms teams to identify photographic needs and priorities
Capture high-quality photographs of project beneficiaries, landscapes, local events, and other relevant subjects that represent HFH’s impact
Work with the Mar/Comms team to develop visual narratives for website, social media, presentations, and other promotional materials
Select, edit, and deliver high-quality images that align with the organization's branding
Produce, edit and deliver short promotional videos for social media and donors
Maintains a database of archived images and videos
Other tasks as assigned by the Chief Program Officer.


Qualifications réquises

3-5 years of professional photography experience required, preferably in a non-profit or rural development context;
Experience in photojournalism
Strong technical skills in photography, including knowledge of camera settings, composition, and lighting
Experience piloting a drone
Ability to shoot video footage and edit videos
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
Good communicator with strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, cultural, and diplomatic skills;
Experience working with vulnerable groups; able to demonstrate conflict sensitivity, compassion, and discretion;
Experience with multi-sectoral and integrated programming;
Strong computer skills: must be competent in the use of Windows MS Office, Google Workspace, Asana or other project management software.
Fluency in French and Haitian Creole is required; intermediate in English, spoken and written is required.

Conditions de travail

This is a full-time, National position based in Les Cayes, Haiti. This position is NOT accompanied, and the organization provides no relocation, logistics, or housing packages. Compensation is based on Hope for Haiti’s Compensation Scale.
