Introduction

General Description:

Under the direction of the Country Director, the Public Relation and Communication Manager will be in charge of managing PADF communication initiatives with media personnel, donors and key stakeholders. He/She will oversee the communication team, create informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our work. He/she will support Haiti Country Director in carrying out high-level program and new business development.


Fonctions

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs and satisfaction.
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements broadcast and online media
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts
• Work with projects directors to ensure that all projects’ contents are publication-ready.
• Publicize key projects highlights using leaflets and other tools as appropriate in coordination with project directors
• Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
• Monitor, analyze and communicate Public Relation results on a quarterly basis
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships on an on-going basis.
• Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner
• Maintain permanent contact with various local and international partners (non-governmental organizations, government, diplomatic representations, etc.) to ensure effective collaboration.
• Organize official audience between the Country Director and these partners and ensure follow-up
• Ensure PADF's presence in key events organized by these partners and ensure their presence at PADF events
• Ensure that the CD receives all information (newspapers, internet, etc.) concerning proposals that may be of interest to PADF as soon as possible.
• Coordinate all public relations activities

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relation or relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be fluent in French and English, understanding of Spanish a plus.
• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to learn about PADF trends and innovations.
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
• Excellent time management skills
