USAID/Haiti Evaluation and Survey Services Plus (ESS+) Project

Project Objective:
In August 2022, The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded International Business Initiatives Corp. (IBI)The Evaluation Survey Services Plus (ESS+) contract to support USAID/Haiti and its partners with evaluations, survey and study support, capacity building and learning events, and in-country Third Party Monitoring. IBI partner with SI to implement the USAID Haiti Evaluation and Survey Services Plus (ESS+) Activity


Qualifications réquises

Position Description:
Haiti ESS+ is seeking 6 local research assistants (RA) to support data collection and data analysis of its Evaluation/Assessment portfolio. RAs serve generally as a member of the baseline/evaluation/assessment team, helping in planning and conducting data collection, note-taking and data analysis. RA will be expected to produce high quality summary notes after each Key informant interviews (KII) /focus group discussion (FGD) and group interviews (GI). The RAs will work under the supervision of Team Leader to assist throughout the data collection and analysis process.
The baseline/evaluation/assessment level of effort is approximately 7 – 8 weeks, including 3 weeks of data collection and 4 weeks of data analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the evaluation Team Leader, the RA will:
• Contribute to the design of data collection tools.
• Participate in the training for RAs.
• Plan and coordinate logistic for data collection.
• Record and take notes during interviews.
• Provide high quality summary notes for each interview.
• Participate in all Team Planning Meetings (TPM) or other meetings with the Team Leader
• Participate in all data analysis.
• Collaborate in any other evaluation tasks as directed by the Team Leader

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or other related fields
• At least 3 years of experience participating in data collection in Haiti.
• Ability to contribute to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
• Strong skills in note taking and transcription.
• Strong skills writing report in French.
• Proficiency in writing and spoken French and advance Intermediate level in English.
• Familiarity with development projects
• Proven leadership and organizational skills to successfully support the Team Leader
