Introduction
Catholic Medical Mission Board, Inc., (CMMB), the leading faith-based global healthcare NGO, is expanding operations in Haiti to support new program opportunities. CMMB is poised to add additional talented professionals to the existing staff in Port-Au-Prince. Currently, the organization seeks a HIV/AIDS Physician for the ALESIDA project. The overall HIV/AIDS physician responsibility is to provide technical assistance and leadership in clinical area in HIV/AIDS related fields. The HIV/AIDS Physician reports to the ALESIDA Clinical Coordinator.
Fonctions
• Provide clinical mentoring in comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment and other related conditions for nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers within the clinical team as appropriate
• Provide clinical mentoring in comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment and other related conditions at local partner treatment facilities.
• Gather and analyze data and use data to plan and measure performance for comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment and other related conditions
• Participate in select national HIV care and treatment related initiatives and ensure that national guidelines are implemented within the program
• Identify, document and share various treatment models and their effectiveness with key lessons learnt on HIV care and treatment and related conditions from local partner treatment facilities
• Integrate evidenced based techniques and strategies such as use of peer reviewed articles and journals into preceptorship activities
• Maintain competence through clinical practice
• Participate in monthly clinical meetings, case conferences, and journal clubs
• Prepare with other team members for timely submission of all required reports, including but not limited to site work plans, trip schedules, travel schedules and trip reports
• Report on implementation of technical assistance activities within the program through compilation of trip reports and other reporting documents
• Provide technical assistance to partner health facilities in order to build capacity and create a sustainable model of care.
• Monitor clinical staff performance and results at site level and integration.
• Provide temporary relief and/or address service gaps at clinical sites
Qualifications réquises
• Licensed MD required with specialization preferable in Internal Medicine and/or Family Practice
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required
• Minimum of 2 years working in HIV/AIDS care and treatment at the national and/or international level
• Current clinical practice as MD
• Excellent knowledge of national and World Health Organization guidelines on HIV care and treatment

• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point minimally, and working knowledge and use of Statistical packages preferred)
• Ability to spend extended periods of time in the field traveling within and around Haiti approximately 60% of the time
