Introduction

Rapha International works in partnership with local governments, civil society actors, and the private sector to address human trafficking and sexual exploitation among vulnerable groups across four international program sites in Cambodia, Thailand, and Haiti.


Fonctions

Rapha International is looking for a Gender Specialist Consultant to collaborate with its team in the preparation of a survey questionnaire, monitor a survey team and draft a final report of the findings. The reports will look into any real positive impact of community-based mental health services, address issues, and provide recommendations to enhance access and quality of care for women and girls affected by violence.

Specific objectives
Ensure the mapping and diagnose of mechanisms and actors offering mental health and psychosocial services in the project target communities.


Qualifications réquises

Degree in psychology, social work, or related fields (master's degree preferred);
At least 5 years of experience in research and training in the psychosocial field;
Excellent communication and listening skills;
Strong teamwork and flexibility; dynamic and proactive attitude;
Excellent and proven ability to adapt to difficult and stressful situations;
Advanced computer skills;
Extensive Knowledge of gender-based issues affecting women and girls ;

High Level Project Requirements for the mapping and referencing system The following strategies will be adopted to meet the survey objectives: The Mapping questionnaire and data processing approach most be developed to harness and process data in a comprehensive manner;
The Mapping questionnaires must contain relevant questions to determine the capacity of service; providers to respond to community needs, especially among women and girls affected by violence; The survey must be designed to be conducted digitally; The survey process must be closely monitored by the gender specialist who provides continuous feedback to the team; Survey data is to be processed and organized to facilitate the report writing; The final reports must provide a practical approach to enhance mental health services in conflict affected communities; The mapping of services should provide those who are seeking mental health services clear guidance to find the right service provider; The gender specialist must be able to work with a technical team to develop a website site to host the mapping of services and provide input on of the mapping capabilities; The gender specialist must be a professional with proven experience in mental health and community social work. High Level Project Requirements for the capacity Building Five (5) relevant institutions must be identified and selected to receive capacity building support All 5 institutions must be training on case management best practices; The psychosocial team from each of the institutions must be training on case assessment and evaluation; The survivor care staff must be trained on the best approaches to create a safe and welcoming environment for care seekers; Terms of reference, lessons modules, and reports must be provided before the training, and reports must be written and submitted after each training.
