In response to the major humanitarian crisis caused by an earthquake in Haiti, IOM is mobilizing staff, including health professionals, to assist the people and authorities of affected areas. Under the overall guidance of the Migration Health Programme Manager in Haiti and under the direct supervision of the Environmental Health Project Manager, the incumbent will assist the Health Unit on the implementation of the project on the Technical Support for Environmental Health in IDP Settlements Project.

1. Improve the Environmental Health (EH) and WASH monitoring system

2. Support the creation of a text-message based monitoring system

3. Coordinate and supervise the selection of the EH/WASH community health monitors (EWCMs)

4. Improve and implement the training units for the EWCMs

5. Supervise the implementation of the monitoring system, including the supervision of the EWCMs

6. Create an automatic reporting system of the monitoring findings

7. Produce regular reports on the monitoring system

8. Support the creation of a web-based reporting system

9. Install a monitoring system for the IOM EH/WASH project

10. Supervise the implementation of the IOM EH/WASH project

11. Produce regular reports for the IOM EH/WASH project

12. Support the IOM EH/WASH project in coordinating its monitoring acitivities with all relevant partners

13. Create, maintain and update project records and files as required

14. Undertake some travel related to project activities as required

15. Perform other duties as may be assigned

University degree or a combination of equivalent training and practical experience in administration, communication, finance, and/or other related subjects
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in monitoring/evaluation related fields, preferably in the INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

Demonstrated IT capabilities
Ability to work constructively in a team, and independently when required; Commitment, efficiency, flexibility
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds at all levels
